Sastry Taruvai
Co-Founder, Director & Chairman
Sastry is responsible for the Solutions division at Bluenog. Sastry brings a wealth of senior management, consulting experience and achievements to Bluenog. Sastry is a seasoned IT Professional with over 20 years of experience providing top notch technical leadership. Before founding Bluenog, Sastry was a Technical Architect with BEA Systems helping BEA Professional Services reach newer heights in terms of quality consulting and providing customer value. Prior to BEA, Sastry was Technical Director at BroadVision helping run the Consulting Practice. Sastry holds dual Master degrees in Computer Science and Chemical Engineering from Cleveland State University.
Suresh Kuppusamy
Co-Founder & Director
Suresh is a recognized leader in the enterprise software industry and has decades of experience implementing large scale enterprise projects. Suresh has over 17 years of enterprise software development and sales experience. Suresh also heads up the Products division of Bluenog.
Before founding Bluenog, Suresh was Solutions Architect for the Eastern Region at BEA Systems. Prior to that he was the Technical Director of Solutions at BroadVision. Suresh played a pivotal role in the sales and product organizations at these companies. Suresh holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Mike DiPiano
Director
Mr. DiPiano is a General Partner of NewSpring Ventures and the Managing Partner of NewSpring Capital. Prior to joining NewSpring Capital, Mr. DiPiano was a serial entrepreneur and investor. He led or co-led the investment into six companies in the business services, healthcare and information technology industries. During that time, he was affiliated with Safeguard Scientifics (NYSE:SFG) and their related Funds. Prior to 1996, he spent six years as a division CEO and director of Chemical Leaman Corporation. Mr. DiPiano started his career in 1980 with Baxter Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: BAX) where he held numerous positions culminating as Vice President responsible for Operations and Sales of the Industrial Scientific Products Division. He currently serves on the boards of Ecount; Femme Pharma; the Mid-Atlantic Capital Alliance, formerly known as the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group, which is a trade association representing over 80 Mid-Atlantic based private equity funds with approximately $12 billion under management, where he served as the 2005 program year Chairman; NutriSystem (NASDAQ: NTRI); Prescient Applied Intelligences (OTC BB: PPID); and the University City Science Center, where he sits on the investment committee.
Michael Poisel
Director
Mr. Poisel is a Principal of NewSpring Ventures with more than 10 years of investing experience. Prior to joining NewSpring, he made private equity investments in enterprise software and business services for both Apax Partners and GE Capital. He also has entrepreneurial experience, having started an Internet strategy consulting firm and having worked for S1 Corporation (NASDAQ: SONE) while attending business school. He began his career in manufacturing operations for Lockheed Martin and participated in the successful completion of several commercial and government satellite programs. He serves as the Chairman of the Board for Ripple Technologies and serves as a board member of NCT and Bluenog. He graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and holds a M.S. in Systems Engineering from The Moore School of Engineering of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in finance and entrepreneurial management from The Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.
Andy Astor
Director
Andy Astor is co-founder and executive vice president of business development of EnterpriseDB, the world’s leading provider of enterprise-class products and services based on the open source PostgreSQL database. Astor has championed the support of independent open source communities, including PostgreSQL, and hybrid open source business models since 2004. As founding CEO, Astor led EnterpriseDB’s growth from start-up to hundreds of customers in less than three years. Earlier this year, LinuxWorld Magazine named Astor one of the “Top Leaders in Open Source Business”. Prior to co-founding EnterpriseDB in 2004, Astor was a vice president at webMethods, where he led the company’s open source, standards, and Web services strategies. He also held positions at Dun and Bradstreet, Magna Software, American Management Systems, and Ernst & Young. He holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Clark University.
Anthony Gold
Director
Anthony Gold is vice president and general manager of open source business at Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS), and he founded and leads Unisys’ global open source practice. Gold established Unisys’ open source software and services business, from the original business plan to strategies for engineering, marketing, channel development, training, sales, delivery, and support. Today, Unisys is one of the largest systems integrators in the open source space. In November of 2008, Anthony Gold was appointed President of the Open Solutions Alliance (OSA), and earlier this year, LinuxWorld Magazine named Gold one of the “Top Leaders in Open Source Business”. Previously, Gold was a vice president and the general manager of the enterprise solutions business systems and technology group at Unisys, where he ran the hardware engineering organization, which invented the ES7000, the world’s first Intel mainframe. He is also a board member of the Open Solutions Alliance, a non-profit organization focused on addressing the challenges of business solution interoperability. He received his B.S.E.E. from Drexel University.
Christopher O'Malley
Director
A 23-year veteran of the IT industry, Chris O’Malley is executive vice president of CA’s Cloud Products & Solutions Business Line. In this capacity, he is responsible for developing and executing CA’s strategy for its Cloud Management and IT Management SaaS business units – including oversight of business planning, R&D, and marketing activities. He also serves on CA’s Executive Leadership Team, which supervises the business and technology
strategies for the company as a whole.
Previously, Chris was Executive Vice President and General Manager of CA’s Mainframe Business Unit. He initiated and led the execution of CA’s ground-breaking Mainframe 2.0 strategy, which is re-defining the way the mainframe is managed so that customers can continue to get maximum value from their platform investments as IT undergoes a major generational shift.
Earlier, Chris was senior vice president of sales strategy and
execution—responsible for developing and implementing competitive market strategies for CA’s worldwide sales force.
Chris also held several other senior management positions since joining CA in 1988 with its acquisition of ADR, including the Sales SVP and GM for the Midwest
and Canada. His consistent success in meeting P&L goals and maintaining a culture of excellence has made him an important contributor to CA’s overall
business performance.
Chris is a sought-after speaker at industry events such as the SHARE Conference for Enterprise IT Professionals, where he recently delivered a keynote address, and at colleges and universities around the world, where he talks to students about career opportunities in Information Technology.
Chris graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota with a BS in computer science. He also participated in executive programs at the University
of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business and New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Chris also is the founder and a board member of the O'Malley Foundation, a non-profit organization which grants scholarships to deserving students.
